Pyramid of Success

Block 1: Industriousness
"In plain and simple English this means hard work. Very hard work. There is no substitute for very hard work when it comes to success."
 Industriousness means working energetically and devotedly; hard-working; diligent. There is nobody who can become successful if they don't work hard. Working hard is key.

Block 2: Enthusiasm
"It is the engine that powers all the blocks of the Pyramid. It is why I chose Industriousness and Enthusiasm as the cornerstones of my Pyramid of Success. It is where everything begins."
 Enthusiasm is an intense and eager enjoyment, interest and approval. This stimulates those you work with.

Block 3: Friendship
"Comes  from mutual esteem, respect and devotion. Like marriage it must not be taken for granted but requires a joint effort."
 Friendship is the emotions or conduct of friends; the state of being friends. It is also a relationship between to friends.

Block 4: Loyalty
"To yourself and to all those depending upon you. Keep your self-respect."
Loyalty is the quality of being loyal to someone or something. It can also mean a strong feeling of support or alliance. In order to earn loyalty, you have to be transparent. This means that you don't hide anything from others. You tell the truth 100% of the time. Another thing you can do is simply admit when u make a mistake and say the right words. You should also be reliable always. Being supportive is something that is obvious. Support will give you loyalty with friends or anyone you would like. You should never talk behind someone's back. This will make people lose trust in you. You should always be honest with everyone. You should also balance all your loyalties and your everyday duties. You should always start with total honesty because once trust is gone, it is always hard to get back. Never make the same mistake twice.

Block 5: Cooperation
"With all levels of you co-workers. Listen if you want to be heard. Be interested in finding the best way, not in having your own way."
 Cooperation is the process of working together to the same end. It can also mean assistance, especially by ready compliance with request. This means that a group of people works together with no problem. This could be like a team. Everyone helps in some way, nobody doing more work than others. The team tries to become the best they can be.

Block 6: Ambition
For noble goals
 Ambition means a strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work. It can also mean desire and determination to achieve success. Ambition is more important than talent. If you have a talent, but no ambition, you will not be successful. Ambition keeps you moving forward. Many people that have a talent don't always become successful. Those that do ids because of ambition. They have the desire to be something in life.

Block 7: Self-Control
"Practice self-discipline and keep emotions under control. Good judgement and common sense are essential."
Self-control is the ability to control oneself, in particular one's emotions and desires or the expression of them in one's behavior, especially in difficult situations. This helps us achieve long term goals. This also helps us to not do things we will regret later.

Block 8: Alertness
"Be observing constantly. Stay open-minded. Be eager to learn and improve."
Alertness mean the quality of being alert. This is very important because this gives you wanting improvement.

Block 9: Initiative
"Cultivate the ability to make decisions and think alone. Do not be afraid of failure, but learn from it."
Initiative is the ability to assess and initiate things independently. It could also mean the power or opportunity to act or take charge before others do. This is very important because without this, you wont do anything. Others dont have to tell you what to do. Its up to you if you want it or no.

Block 10: Intentness
"Set a realistic goal. Concentrate on it's achievement by resisting all temptations. Be determined and persistent."
Intentness is firmly or steadfastly fixed or directed as the eyes or mind. It can also mean to having your attention shapely focused or fixed on something. Another definition for this would be being determined or resolved; having the mind or will fixed on some goal. In other words, earnest or intrest. You never quit, even if the road to succes is very difficult.

Block 11: Sincerity
Keeps friends
Sincerity is the quality of being free from pretense, deceit, or hypocrisy. This can make you keep your friends because you are sincer to them. You are honest to them. They trust you and you trust them.

Block 12: Adaptability
To any situation
Adapability is the quality of being able to adjust to new conditions. It can also mean the capacity to be modified for a new use or purpose.

Block 13: Condition
"Mental-Moral-Physical. Rest, exercise and diet must be considered. Moderation must be practiced. Dissipation must be eliminated."
Condition is the state of something, especially with regard to its appearance, quality or working order. It can also mean the circumstances affecting the way in which people live or work,especially with regard to their safety or will-being. Another definition for this can be having a significant influence on or determining (the manner or outcome of something) or bring (something) into the desired state for use.

Block 14: Skills
"A knowledge of and the ability to properly and quickly execute the fundamentals. Be prepared and cover every little detail."
Skill is the ability to do something well; expertise. It can also mean a particular ability.

Block 15: Team Spirit
"A genuine consideration for others. An eagerness to sacrifice personal interests of glory for the welfare of all."
Team spirit is feelings of camaraderie among the members of a group, enabling them to cooperate and work well together. This means that you will strive for the best when you are in a team and also apply these skills when you are to face challenges by yourself.

Block 16: Honesty
In thought and action
Honesty is the quality of being honest. It can aslo be referring to or using a way of charging for goods or services that relies on customers to leave money in an unattended receptable even though there is no one to collect their payment.

Block 17: Resourcefulness

Resourcefulness is the ability to find quick and clever ways to overcome difficulties.

Block 18: Poise

"Just being yourself. Being at ease in any situation."
Graceful and elegant bearing in person.
Poise is graceful and elegant bearing in person. It can also mean balance and equilibrium or be or cause to be balance or suspended. This can measn to be yourself. Don't pretend to be someone that you are not. Don't panic if sonthing bad (or good) happens. Stay balanced.

Block 19: Confidence

Block 20: Reliability
Creates respect
Reliability is the quality of being trustworthy or of preforming consistently well.

Block 21: Fight
Determined Effort
Fight is to take part in violent stuggle involving the exchange of physical blows or the use of weapons. It can also mean a violent confrontation or struggle.
"Work hard for what you want because it won't come to you without a fight. You have to be strong and courageous and know that you can do anything you put you mind to. If somebody puts you down or criticizes you, just keep on believing in yourself and turn it into something positive."-Leah LaBelle

Block 22: Competitive Greatness

Competitive greatness is the ability to be at your best when your best is needed. It is also having a real love for the hard battle knowing it offers the oppurtunity to be at your best when your best is required.

Block 23: Integrity
"Purity of intention"
Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. It can also mean the state of being whole and undivided.

Block 24: Faith
Believe and Achieve
Faith is complete trust or confidence in someone or something. It can aslo mean a strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.

Pyramid of Success Final Reflection

Write a final all-encompassing reflection about the Pyramid of Success.

1) How can the building blocks benefit you?
The building blocks can benefit me by helping me achieve more success in my life. One example is achieving my goals in my life planning journal.
2) Which blocks are you applying now
I am applying poise to my everyday life as well as patience and honesty.
3) What difference are the blocks making in your life?
The blocks are making my life better in all aspects. I truly believe that they have helped me become a better person.
4) How will you incorporate the other blocks into your Life Planning plans?
I will incorporate the other blocks into my Life Planning plans by making some new goals that pertain to the other blocks in the Pyramid of Success.
5) How will you pass this information forward? How will you teacher the Pyramid of Success to other people?
I will pass this information forward by first showing who is Coach Wooden, the creator of the Pyramid of Success. Then I will Show them the pyramid. I will explain to them that you have to have all in order to be successful.
