Character and Personality
Stephan Covey said he has been reading lots of books. After
reading all those books, he started to see a pattern. He said that books from
before the 1920's were based on building your character. They showed and talked
about trustworthiness, integrity, and responsibility. Then, after the 1920's,
books focused more on the personality. Personality is basically when you make
yourself seem like something else in a sense. Now, people work way to hard on
the surface rather than the roots. They try to seem like if they have lots of
character and principles when they really don't. Stephan Covey mention that you are like an iceberg. The tip is your personality while the bottom is your character. You should always put more work on the base instead of your personality.
